Category: High temperature cameras
The main critical points of the process can be controlled using the Telea Tecnovision’s high temperature cameras. The visual control of the burner flames, as well as the supervision of the material formation before its entrance in the grid are fundamental.
It is also typical necessity for a cement factory to hold in check the remote points of activity: to compensate the problem of the distance, Telea Tecnovision is able to realize solutions based on optical fibre, IP networks and radio frequency transmission.
CAMTEC | High temperature industrial cameras
CAMTEC high-temperature cameras provide clear, crisp images of the combustion process in boilers, kilns, furnaces, incinerators and other combustion chambers. With the real-time image provided, engineers and operators can monitor the proper flow of fuel and raw materials, reduce emissions, reduce fuel consumption, speed up boiler light off, and improve safety.
CAMTEC cameras offer industry leading 800 HTVL-Effective Resolution, Low Light and WDR performance combined with motion adaptive 3D Digital Noise Reduction. These cameras will produce high quality video even in the most challenging lighting conditions present in the high temperature industrial process.
CAMTEC cameras are endowed with special high temperature lenses, available also with inclinated vision, infrared filters (option), temperature sensor or alarm thermoswitch that provides a contact open when the temperature exceeds 50°C (131°F), and all mechanical parts needed to be used within SONDATEC housings. All the electrical connections are assured by a single 10-pin industrial standard connector, mounted on the back camera flange, conform to the latest performance requirements of MIL-DTL-5015 standard.
Aware of the difficulties and of the critical urgencies that characterize industrial environments, the settings, operation and control of CAMTEC series cameras can be easily done from portable camera control unit (UTC sold separately) using coaxial video cable, the same of video signal transmission. Both PAL and NTSC versions are available allowing the use of CAMTEC anywhere in the world.
SONDATEC | High temperature cooled housings
SONDATEC housing series have been developed to allow the use of television camera in high temperature environments, as glass process, cement industry, iron&steel plant and boiler. These high-temperature camera systems provide clear, crisp images of the combustion process in boilers, furnaces, kilns, incinerators and other combustion chambers. With the real-time image provided, operators and engineers can monitor the proper flow of fuel and raw materials, reduce emissions, reduce fuel consumption, speed up boiler light off, and improve safety.
SONDATEC housings are available in different lengths from 300 mm up to 4000 mm, with diameter 89 mm available for the new release 2.0.They are typically endowed with axial vision and they can allow diagonal angles of vision up to 105°.
Depending on the behavior of the chemicals involved in the process, SONDATEC camera housing should be made by special stainless steels, high-resistance alloys or by using superficial protections.
SONDATEC camera housings employ triple-wall laminar flow for efficient water cooling of the camera and allow operation in temperatures up to 2200°C (≈4000°F). Otherwise a special air cooled system allows operation in temperatures up to 700°C (≈1300°F).
SONDATEC housings are “pressurized”: an integral compressed air system supplies clean air (or appropriate gas) for cooling and particulate removal from the lens. In such a way the lens doesn’t require any expensive protection glass, crystal and protection porthole. A constant supply of clean air is essential for proper camera operation and protection: GFATEC series represent an effective filtration system able to remove contaminants and to provide high quality clean air in industrial environments.
SONDATEC housing is designed to be mounted either directly through the wall of a furnace or by using OUTEC series, a wall fixing medium endowed with a protective shutter type “porthole” that increases safety and easy maintenance.
If it is requested a penetration inside the furnace, SONDATEC housing may be provided with retraction devices, INTEC series: in case of system failure, or failure of the cooling supply, the retraction device automatically removes the housing from the furnace and seals the furnace porthole.
OUTEC | Protection devices
OUTEC series device is a wall fixing medium that increased safety and easy maintenance of the high temperature monitoring systems, SONDATEC series. It can be used where internal furnace temperature is up to 1600°C (≈3000°F) and wall temperature up to 200°C (≈400°F).
The equipment is made by AISI304 stainless steel and it is endowed with a water cooling system, with a protective shutter controlled by a pneumatic cylinder and with a compressed air system.
The necessary cooling media supply and power supply are performed by control cabinet CABTEC series. In case of power failure, water or air shortage or temperature exciding the standard requirements, the shutter is automatically sealed with a pneumatic cylinder in order to protect the camera housing and to reduce any thermal or pressure losses.
Moreover the unit is fitted with an integral compressed air system that creates an “air barrier” to protect the camera from overpressure or flame exit through the furnace orifice. In such a way the camera doesn’t require any expensive protection glass, crystal and protection porthole. A constant supply of clean air is essential for proper camera operation and protection: GFATEC series represent an effective filtration system able to remove contaminants and to provide high quality clean air in industrial environments.
